some common mistakes with their solutions are given below:
Using unwanted abbreviations
There is no need to use abbreviations such as th or st to every number, and using these does not convert numbers to words.
Adding zeros when it is not required
When a number is 0 we do not consider its place value, for example, we should not write 100 as one hundred zero, zero.
Ignoring Hyphens
At times, students may forget to use hyphens in between compound words. For example, they would write fifty-three rather than ‘fifty-three’.
41 in word form is called forty-one and according to the Indian numeral system 4 stands in ten’s place and 1 stands in the one’s place.
If we apply the Indian numeral system to 760, we will see that 7 is in hundreds place, 6 is in tens place and 0 is in one's place, hence 760 can be written as ‘seven hundred sixty.’
Using the Indian numerical system we can see that 3 is in hundreds place, 4 is in ten’s place and 2 is in one’s place. So the number would be 342.
The numeral system is defined as a set of numbers, which aims to represent numbers in an organized manner. More than one numeral system is followed across the world.
